OwnHaul FAQ

Straight answers before you start.

How records, privacy, warranties, AI Camera, and Pro features work.

General

What is OwnHaul?

OwnHaul is a private inventory for the practical records that come with your belongings: photos, receipts, model and serial numbers, warranty details, maintenance history, and reminders.

Who is OwnHaul for?

It is for anyone who wants a reliable record of the things they own without maintaining a spreadsheet or searching through inboxes, retailer accounts, and drawers.

Is OwnHaul free?

Unlimited manual inventory. The Free plan also includes photos and documents, warranties, folders, search, filtering, sorting, and in-app reminders.

Plans

What is OwnHaul Pro?

OwnHaul Pro is the paid plan for features with ongoing processing costs: AI Camera and automated warranty email reminders. Pro access begins after Paddle confirms an active, trialing, or past-due subscription. If billing is not configured for the current deployment, Settings will say so.

How much will OwnHaul Pro cost?

OwnHaul Pro costs $3.99/month or $29.99/year. The yearly plan works out to about $2.50/month and saves 37% compared with paying monthly for a year. Checkout appears in Settings only after billing has been configured for the current deployment.

Data and privacy

Are my item photos private?

Yes. Item photos are stored privately and are displayed through temporary, authenticated access for the account owner.

Are receipts and documents private?

Yes. Receipts, manuals, warranty cards, and other documents are stored privately and opened through temporary access links for your account.

Does OwnHaul sell my data?

No. OwnHaul does not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties.

What happens when I delete an item?

The item is removed from active OwnHaul views. Its current photo, documents, and associated records may remain for recovery, data integrity, or account lifecycle purposes.

What happens when I delete my account?

OwnHaul attempts to remove your inventory records, stored photos and documents, preferences, profile, and authentication account. That work spans multiple systems and is not a single atomic operation, so an error may be shown if support is needed to finish it.

Warranties

How do warranty reminders work?

Add a purchase date and warranty duration, and OwnHaul calculates the end date. Upcoming and expired coverage then appears in the in-app Reminders view.

What reminder types are available?

In-app reminders group coverage that is expired or ends within 7, 30, or 90 days. Preference controls also support 90, 30, 7, and 1 day email thresholds; automated email delivery is available to Pro subscribers after billing and email delivery are configured.

Can I track items without a warranty?

Yes. Warranty information is optional. You can still keep photos, documents, serial numbers, folders, notes, and history for an item.

AI Camera

What is AI Camera?

AI Camera reads a product, receipt, box, or serial label and suggests item details before you save anything.

What can AI Camera extract?

It can suggest a product name, brand, model, serial number, purchase date, price, warranty duration, warranty provider, and category when those details are clear in the image.

Does AI Camera automatically create items?

No. The suggestions are placed in the normal item form. You can edit or remove any value, and the item is created only after you explicitly confirm it.

What happens if AI is unsure?

Uncertain or absent values are left blank. You can fill them in yourself or save the item without optional information.

Organization

Can an item belong to multiple folders?

Yes. One item can belong to more than one folder, and folders can be pinned for quick access.

Can I upload receipts and manuals?

Yes. You can attach supported receipt images or PDFs while creating an item and upload additional documents from Item Details.

Can I edit item details later?

Yes. Item identity, purchase details, warranty information, notes, folders, and the item photo can be updated later.
