Privacy Policy

What OwnHaul stores, how your records are accessed, and what happens when data is deleted.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address through Supabase Auth. When you use the dashboard, we store inventory records you enter: product name, purchase date, coverage duration, category, optional purchase price, serial number, notes, and optional item photos and documents such as receipts. We also store your email reminder preferences.

Photos and files

Item photos and documents you upload are stored privately. Access is restricted to your account through authenticated controls, and temporary access links are used when OwnHaul needs to display or open a file.

Financial data

Purchase price is optional and stored only to help you track value for your own records. If you subscribe to OwnHaul Pro, Paddle processes the payment. OwnHaul receives billing identifiers and subscription status so it can provide paid features; OwnHaul does not receive or store your full card number. We do not sell financial data or share it with advertisers.

How we use your data

Your data is used to provide inventory tracking, private file access, and optional expiry reminders. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Storage and security

We use Supabase (supabase.com) as our database and file storage provider. Database records and private files are protected by account-scoped access controls. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure subject to their privacy policy.

Deletion

Deleting an item removes it from active OwnHaul views. Its current photo, documents, and associated records may be retained for recovery, data integrity, or account lifecycle purposes. Replacing a photo is different: the new photo is saved first, and the older replaced photo is removed after the item update succeeds. Permanent account deletion is a separate process available in Account Settings.

Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active, including data associated with items removed from active views. When you request account deletion, OwnHaul attempts to remove your inventory records, stored photos and documents, preferences, profile, and authentication account. Because deletion spans multiple systems, it may not complete as a single transaction; if it fails, an error is shown and additional support may be required.
